Texas Trees Like You’ve Never Seen

Every piece we make starts as a decades old Texas tree, with its own unique story to tell. Steve expertly carves each piece, allowing the tree’s natural beauty and ideal shape to take form on the lathe. Natural voids and cracks are filled with tinted epoxy resin or finely ground gems to add structural support as well as visual interest. Each piece is one of a kind and will last lifetimes with proper care.

Artist Made Bowls & Vessels

Discover the beauty of Texas trees as expressed by the expert lathe turning of native Texan Steve Snyder. Each solid wood piece undergoes a months long process of the initial roughing out, slow air drying, and final turning and finishing. Use of embellishments like tinted epoxy, gems, or more elaborate carvings are based on each individual piece of wood and its own unique qualities.
